- When setting up a new project for the first time
- When troubleshooting data issues
- Anytime you want to verify your directory is current
What happens during a sync
Section titled “What happens during a sync”- FieldFlow reads all rows from your Google Sheet
- Compares them against the existing directory data
- Creates new records for new rows
- Updates records where data has changed
- Removes records for deleted rows
- Updates the “Last synced” timestamp
Your Google Sheet is never modified — FieldFlow only reads from it.
Sync while working
Section titled “Sync while working”You can continue using the FieldFlow dashboard while a sync runs. The sync happens in the background. The page auto-refreshes the status every second so you can watch progress.
After syncing
Section titled “After syncing”If you’ve added new columns to your Sheet, go to Configure > Fields to map them. New columns won’t appear in your directory until they’re mapped to a field type.
