WordPress

FieldFlow works on any WordPress site — whether you’re using the block editor (Gutenberg), Elementor, or the classic editor.

  1. Get your embed code from the Publish tab in FieldFlow

  2. Open the WordPress page where you want the directory to appear

  3. Add a Custom HTML block

    • Click the + button to add a block
    • Search for “Custom HTML”
    • Select it
  4. Paste the embed code into the Custom HTML block

  5. Publish or update the page

Your directory should now appear on the page.

  1. Get your embed code from the Publish tab

  2. Open the page in Elementor

  3. Add an HTML widget

    • Search for “HTML” in the widget panel
    • Drag it to your page
  4. Paste the embed code into the HTML widget’s content area

  5. Click Update to save

  1. Get your embed code from the Publish tab

  2. Open the page in the WordPress classic editor

  3. Switch to the “Text” tab (not “Visual”)

  4. Paste the embed code where you want the directory to appear

  5. Publish or update the page

Directory not showing:

  • Make sure your API key is valid and not revoked
  • Check that the allowed origins on your API key include your WordPress site’s domain
  • View the browser console (F12 > Console) for error messages

“Failed to fetch” error:

  • Your API key’s domain whitelist may not include this site’s URL
  • Check that apiBaseUrl is set to https://app.getfieldflow.io

Directory appears briefly then disappears:

  • A WordPress plugin may be conflicting with the embed script
  • Try disabling caching plugins temporarily to test
  • Check if a security plugin is blocking external scripts

Styling looks off:

  • Some WordPress themes apply aggressive CSS that overrides the embed
  • FieldFlow’s embed uses scoped styles to minimize conflicts, but heavy theme CSS may still interfere
  • Try adding the embed to a full-width page template
